Milos Fast Trade Lane
Milos Fast Trade Lane solution allows to implement  digital and automated logistic and customs procedures among the actors involved in the international supply chain. Milos Corridor Management platform and related connectors make possible to monitor goods and to exploit simplified customs procedures at an international level , interoperating with private and public information systems of the stakeholders involved in the intermodal logistics process also exploiting the usage of IoT solutions and advanced technologies such as OCR, RFID, Blockchain, etc. Milos Dashboard receives all this real-time information and sort them to authorized actors, thus allowing a complete visibility of goods along the supply chain.

Milos Gate automation & Security
Circle has developed Milos GATE Automation solution, a complete hardware (OCR, RFID readers, entrance/exit barriers) and software modular framework designed for inland/port terminals and Port Authorities that allows to automate the gate information flow by using standard connectors (web services, ftp), in order to exchange relevant operational data (operative, customs, logistics data, etc). This makes the solution compatible with the major Terminal Operating Systems and Port Community Systems. The Solution is compliant with the new European Union Customs Code, where innovative Customs procedures regarding the use of automated gates and Internet of Things devices such as RFID electronic seals and tags, are ongoing.

Milos Customs Management
Circle has developed a specific module, Milos Customs Registers, to manage automatically the following registers: Temporary Storage Warehouse, Customs Warehouse and VAT Warehouse. Furthermore, Milos eCustoms can interoperate with Customs IT platform by using standard connectors in order to automate customs procedures and reduce manual activities and the use of paper documents. Milos framework, by digitalizing and automating the data exchange among all the public and private actors involved in the supply chain, allows to exploit Customs simplified procedures such as the Fast Corridor procedure and other international logistics and customs procedures.

Milos IoT for Logistics & Secure Trade Lanes
Circle has developed a specific solution to achieve Door-to-Door supply chain visibility. Milos IoT allows authorized private companies and public authorities to monitor the real-time status and security of goods in a Door-to-Door perspective. This is  possible thanks to a combination of hardware components (RFID tags, eSeals) with a platform composed by software and standard connectors, matching logistics data with security and Customs information, thus reducing human errors. The Milos IoT platform is composed by hardware solutions compliant with RFID / GPS / NFC / Bluetooth standards (eSeals, tags); Milos IOT Mobile using handhelds, smartphones, etc; Milos IOT Platform and Connectors for the harmonization of logistics and Customs operations.

Milos Automation & Optimization
Ports and terminals are currently facing increasing cargo volumes and demands of extended services and improved performance in terms of dwell time, reliability and security. In fact, one of the main objectives is to optimize, in terms of costs and time, the activities related to management and shipping of different type of goods. Circle offers a set of modules to meet the needs of ports and terminals, such as Milos Gate Automation, Milos Rail Management, Milos Mobile, Milos TOS Multipurpose. Optimization of vessel and rail loading and unloading operations, optimization of goods allocation  and reduction of ineffective handling activities are the main advantages of the Milos Automation & Optimization solution.

Milos TOS
Milos Terminal Operating System (TOS) has been designed with the purpose of managing the administrative, operative and Customs operations within a Multipurpose Terminal. Milos TOS is a suite composed by several modules: Milos Vessel allows to plan handling operations and to perform vessel reports, Milos YARD allows the manage the yard allocation, stocking areas creation, cargo units positioning and to perform stock reports, also using the Milos Mobile App;  Milos Gate Management allows managing gate IN/OUT permission. Milos TOS is interoperable with systems of other stakeholder such as Port Authorities, truck companies, Shipping Line, etc. Milos Rail Management, thanks to a graphical tool, allows to easily plan the rail handling operations and produce rail documents and reports.

MILOS FOR INLAND AND PORT TERMINALS
Milos for Inland and Port Terminals
Inland and Port Terminals are currently facing increasing cargo volumes and demands of extended services and improved performance in terms of dwell time, reliability and security. Milos can be customized in order to provide value-added functionalities and services that allow Inland and Port Terminals to increase significantly their performance.

Milos framework offers specific solution for digitalizing and automating Gate, Yard, Vessel, Rail, Invoice and Customs operations. This solution can offer different advantages such as: planning vessel and rail handling activities, speeding up gate in/out operations – also thanks to the use of RFID tags / readers and OCR cameras, managing authorizations and notices of pick-up and delivery of goods with stakeholders, invoicing management. CILP (Leghorn), Terminal San Giorgio (Genoa) e Lugo Terminal (Lugo) implemented the Milos TOS Suite into their systems in order to meet the needs of today’s market.

MILOS FOR SHIPPERS
Milos for Shippers
Shippers have to face even more complex supply chain; control and traceability of transport and logistics processes is a strategic item.  Milos allows a complete visibility of goods and the digitalization of information and documentation flows (Booking Requests and Shipping Instruction, BoL, etc.) over all the supply chain by implementing specific connectors with IT system of key players involved (FFs, Customs broker, shipping line and company, etc). Tracking and Tracing real – time information and related documentation are available through Milos Dashboard. Thanks to Milos Fast Corridor and Milos eCustoms,  shippers can exploit simplified customs procedures and goods can reach the final destination faster and with a complete digital control. Ikea Italy, since 2014 when the project “banchina lunghissima” was launched and the Milos Fast Corridor was implemented, has increased the volume of containers shipped using this simplified procedure by 80%.

MILOS FOR PORT AUTHORITIES
Milos for Port Authorities
Ports have to compete in a constantly evolving environment. Strengthening of shipping companies’ alliances and increasing ship dimensions, as well as global trade evolutions, call for an effective response. Milos extends Port Authorities’ IT system functionalities by fully digitalizing and automating port gate operations, digitalizing Customs procedures and connecting the IT systems of the actors involved in the supply chain. Milos framework addresses three different categories: Vehicles – Milos allows to manage and automate the port gate in/out operations of both truck and train; Goods – Milos allows to receive and manage the information concerning goods arriving and departing at ports; People – Milos thanks to the native integration with the PCS Sinfomar, allows to manage the entrance and exit procedures of people in the port area.  Circle, as a technological partner, supported La Spezia Port Authority in the implementation of a “Corridor Management Platform” involving the community of takeholders (terminal, shunting, rail undertaking, MTO companies).
